June 2010 - A graphic artist has begun converting the script for "Curse of Athena" into 4 graphic novels, each having at least 40 or more pages.

May 2010 - The first three novels of the Journal of Rome series were completed. Drafts for novels 4 and 5 the next to complete final editing.

April 2010 - Final Version of the Curse of Athena Screenplay is registered with the Writers Guild West. Gary attends the Sunscreen film festival where he meets Ralph Winter the producer of X Men, X Men Wolverine and Star Trek. Mr. Winter requested that Gary send his script to his reader David DeBorde, MA at Southeastern University.

November 2006 - April 2010 - Gary continues to perfect the Curse of Athena screenplay and the five novels he wrote entitled Journal of Rome.

November 2006 - Gary holds his 50th birthday and Film Debue to a crowd of 100 influential friends at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. A gladiator exhibition is staged on the dance floor. Roman Re-Enactors who took part in the film honor Gary with their attendance in full Roman regalia.

March 2005 - Current - Gary joins the Florida Screenwriters and Actors Connection, and learns the art of writing screenplays.

November 2004 to March 2005 - Editing and re-dubbing some of the vocal performances is completed for the Curse of Athena promotional trailer. The music score is created and matched to the action of the film.

October 2004 - Champion rents Centennial Park in the center of Nashville, Tennessee, where over 50 Roman Re-enactors gather for the filming of the movie trailer. Over one weekend, all shooting both around the Parthenon and inside it are completed.

June 12, 2004 - Champion's Gary Barbosa attends the Roman Re-enactment event at the Marietta Mansion, in Maryland. Ted Gesing and his film crew shoot gladiatorial fighting, Roman life, and Romans in maneuvers. Gary meets Monica Martin.

June 8, 2004 - Monica Martin, Brazil's première female bodybuilder accepts the lead role for the movie trailer.

May 15, 2004 - Ted Gesing and his camera crew travel to Woodstock, Connecticut to catch Gladiatorial fighting and Roman Re-enactors on film.

April 16 - 22, 2004 - Champion and their film crew attend the parade in Rome, Italy commemorating the birth of Rome on April 18,th 2004. News coverage is shown in Europe, South Korea, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

April 15, 2004 - Champion's Gary Barbosa travels to Newark, New Jersey to be interviewed and taped by Ted Gesing relative to the Nashville Film Trailer the day before Gary's departure to Rome.

April 12, 2004 - Ted Gesing, a film producer from New York, informs Champion that he wants to do a documentary film about the author of the screenplay and two novels, which support Champion's film project.

April 5, 2004 - Champion One is invited by the actor, Dan Hight, who plays Emperor Vespasian for the British Broadcasting Network (BBC) to participate in a parade in Rome featuring 700 Roman Legionaries from Europe.

March 12, 2004 - Tampa, Florida - Champion shoots the covers for both Novel One and Novel Two featuring ex-professional bodybuilder Laura Bass.

November, 13 2003 - Champion One Productions and cinematographer Curtis Graham, in addition to lead actress Laura Bass, revisit the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee. Roman Re-enactor Patrick Owen assists in locating the War Memorial Building, which is chosen as a second site for filming.

November 8, 2003 - Champion's Gary Barbosa visits the Legion in the Charleston area of South Carolina. Notable was the recital regarding the crucifixion of Christ, the camp set-up, and gladiatorial fighting.

October 2003 - Champion One visits the encampment at Prado National Park, in California, witnessing one thousand battling medieval and Roman soldiers. Meet with Sean Richards and discuss various battle scenes for filming.

September 2003 - Champion One attends Roman Market days in Hollis, Maine. Meet with John Ebel, and George Metz who detail the network of Roman Re-enactors throughout the United States.

August 2003 - Champion One Productions and its film crew visit and preview the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee as potential film site. Choose site for filming.
